My Dad said “the trips” were the most fun thing he did in his life. His biggest regret in life was that he and mom didn’t take a trip with some close friends. (He could have taken many more than he did.) We tend to be afraid to take chances on many things. Trying a different place to eat, walk, drive to work or say hello to someone we don’t know. People want acceptance and to share their story. The new person you say “hello” to could turn out to be the best friend of your lifetime.
Plan for the best, prepare for the worst and see what God brings your way. As Tom Hanks said in the movie Cast Away, “You never know what the tide will bring in!!”
