Continuing Education Class

Estate Planning attorney, Steven Andrew Jackson, will teach a one hour Continuing Education class on “Succession: Family & Business.”

  • CE Credit: The class is approved for one hour Continuing Education by the North Carolina Department of Insurance.

Overview:

In one interesting hour we will dive into issues that have been brought to the forefront lately in the movie “All the Money In The World”, and the TV Shows: “Trust”, both about the Getty Family, and the transition of their family business; and “Succession” which is dealing with the family dynamics and the transition of the business. We also have seen that on a major scale here locally in Asheville, North Carolina in regards to the passing of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil, owners of the Biltmore Estate, and the succession of that local historic property and its many related enterprises.

Please join us for this interesting and fast paced hour. 

In one hour, we will cover:

  1. Family Mindsets.
  2. Family History and Issues that Causes.
  3. Succession of the Business and Family Assets.
  4. Structuring the Transition.
  5. Keeping the Family in Relationship after the Estate Settles.
